Tips #3 :: Lessons Learnt from EPMA students

Here are a few lessons learnt from our students. These lessons will show you exactly what to do and precisely what to avoid to pass the so called difficult PMP Exam easily and with confidence.

Harish Madhavan PMP® Says

My experience is I followed and Read all the knowledge areas and tried to connect with the examples provided by Sir or Madam to remember it easily. Took the mock test and worked on analysis provided by Vaijayantee madam seriously. Solving the question bank thoroughly from EPMA Study Material helped as instructed by Sateesh sir. Had Prepared a schedule and had stuck to it.

Guruprasad Deotale, PMP®, says:

1} Following EPMA guidelines for study is a must to pass. Mock tests are very important no matter how confident we feel. Keeping in mind ,examples given during sessions helps a lot to connect and do not require to mug up any formulas,memorise the concepts{ eg 10 story bldg,Mrs D’Souza}

2} First reading EPMA Handbook, with examples,narratives during sessions at back of the mind { Focus on recollecting ,or go through recordings}

3} PMBOK® Guide 6th Edition Twice reading is a must.

4} Agile Guide was new to me. At times difficult to digest

Solution : Remember Sessions and specific topic lectures. At times our conventional thought process tends to drag into confusions. Need to be alert. Once concepts are clear then read the Agile Guide twice. For Agile Questions, concepts and terminology must be clear. Bottom line is that it’s an exam of concepts and Patience of reading and interpretation. I am confident that the kind of knowledge the EPMA team has enabled us with, all of us will be successful.

Sateesh sir and Vaijayantee madam thanks again Wish you all the best and Go for it with proper preparation. 2hrs per day with Focus is Must.

Shailesh More PMP® Says,

1. Take your 5 mock tests seriously.

2. Listen carefully to Vaijayantee Maam’s or Sateesh Sir’s lecture video.

3. After each mock test. Go through the explanations of each question (irrespective you got it right or wrong).

4. Do small breathing exercises each day, which would keep you fresh and tension free, which actually helped me a lot.

5. Understand the graph well, shown in our PMBOK® Guide and Agile book. As we get some questions related to it.

Laxman Negi PMP®, Says

read PMBOK® Guide, EPMC book 2 times.. or more time but avoid too many other books .. tools and techniques and application of these… Risk, stakeholders and communication are important and will be interlinked in many questions.. agile will be important for scoring(simple if read and understand twice).. for agile part refer Sir’s recorded video.. listen to it, most of agile concept will be clear.. Recording will help a lot both in agile and process part…to understand the concept after first reading

Answer all question bank questions. After reading and understanding the related chapter.. Make notes of the questions that go wrong.. Goto the answer and read it. Understand it
